Football Betting News: QPR Win for the First Time This Season

FOOTBALL BETTING NEWS – Queens Park Rangers have ended their long wait for a first Premier League win this season, as they saw off Fulham through a brace from Adel Taarabt for a 2-2 home win.

QPR dominated possession throughout the match, as Taarabt started to leave a footpr1nt by scoring from 25 yards on the 52nd minute. The Moroccan midfielder added another one by deflecting the ball past Fulham defender Brede Hangeland.

The result raised QPR’s table ranking to 19 after staying at 20th since November. Manager Harry Redknapp praised Taarabt for his vital performance, saying that he and the rest of the side remain hopeful of tackling the tough test of avoiding relegation.

12BET Betting Preview & Tips: Newcastle United vs. Manchester City

Venue: St. James’ Park (Newcastle United)

Date: December 15, 2012
Time: 20:45 (+8:00 GMT)

Newcastle United and defending Champions Manchester City will clash in Sunday’s English Premier League. In their last five league matches, the Magpies have won once and lost four times, while City have won twice, drawn twice and lost once to derby rivals Manchester United.

Odds for Asian HandicapManchester City as Favourites; 1.0-Handicap for Newcastle United

Hosts Newcastle lost all of their last five matches against City. The Magpies currently have a troubled form due to injuries of their key players like Yohan Cabaye, Ryan Taylor and Gabriel Obertan. Sky-blue Manchester will not play injured team captain Vincent Kompany in defence.

Newcastle’s form struggles have become apparent in both domestic and European levels. The Magpies only won once in five league games to Wigan Athletic 3-0, while they lost to Bordeaux 2-0 in the Europa League group stage, despite being qualifiers.

City had an unbeaten league run this season until their loss to neighbours Manchester United on last Sunday’s Manchester derby. Nevertheless, they remain unbeaten on away as they remain strong contenders for the league title.

In terms of scoring, City has a stronger record of 10 goals scored compared to Newcastle’s six. The league champions’ defence stands at a record of three goals conceded in five games as against the Magpies’ seven-in-five.

For this match, City are favourites to win at 2.210. Newcastle have a 1.0 handicap, so punters for the Premier League champions have to hope for a two-goal advantage (away win at 0-2, 1-3) in the scoreline for them to win in betting.

Staying For More Champions League Football: Evra Will Not Exit Man Utd

THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra downplayed reports that he is bound to transfer to big-spending Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain, saying that he is happy to play for the Old Trafford club.

Amidst reports indicating that he may make the move to PSG, Evra jokingly said that people have to kill manager Sir Alex Ferguson first before such a transfer could ever happen, despite the possibility of a larger salary package from the Qatari-backed French outfit.

Evra is not planning to leave a footpr1nt for departure soon as he plans to stay throughout the entirely of his contract, which lasts until 2014. United’s policy of providing a one-year contract extension to players over 30 casted doubts on his future.
