Blackburn boss Steve Kean believes the future looks bright if they can secure Premier League survival
Rovers currently find themselves in the bottom three on goal difference, ahead of Tuesday's clash with Liverpool, but Kean remains confident they can get themselves out of trouble.
Kean has turned to youth this season in a bid to turn around Blackburn's fortunes and he believes if he can add a bit of experience to the side next term he can build a successful team at Ewood Park.
"It has been a real strange year for us," Kean told Sky Sports1HD. "What we have attempted to do is bring a lot of young players through and take the wage bill down.
"A lot of experience left the club if you think about Ryan Nelsen, Jason Roberts and Keith Andrews and Chris Samba and Brett Emerton to name but a few with a huge amount of Premier League experience
"It has been a great progression for young players coming through, Junior Hoilett, Martin Olsson, Grant Hanley who's been exceptional and Jason Lowe all young players coming into the team.
"Football fans all over the world want to see their team winning, but I think they can see we are trying to build a new younger team. With an average age of 22 it's the youngest in the Premier League.
"If we can get through this season, I think we will because I believe we have enough ability, determination and togetherness in the squad to get us through these last remaining six games.
"If we get the points and get them early then I think it's a bright future, financially we are in a very stable position as a club and I think the assets in the team, the value of the younger players, will go sky high and if we can add quality and some Premier League experience next year I think we can build a really successful team for years to come."
