Liverpool secure Wembley date

Craig Bellamy strike earns 3-2 aggregate win over Manchester City

Micah Richards conceded a penalty after blocking a Daniel Agger shot

Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City (aggregate 3-2)

Craig Bellamy struck on 74 minutes to fire Liverpool into the final of the Carling Cup following an exciting semi-final second leg against Manchester City at Anfield.

Liverpool led 1-0 from the first leg but were pegged back by a fantastic curling strike from Nigel de Jong.
Steven Gerrard levelled from the spot after a Micah Richards handball but after the break Edin Dzeko pounced to fire in from a pinpoint Aleksander Kolarov cross.

But the livewire Bellamy had the final say as he played a sharp one-two with Glen Johnson before slotting in to secure a 3-2 aggregate victory and set up a Wembley final against Championship side Cardiff on February 26th.- http://www.premierleague.com
